Most cars manufactured over the last 20 years have a computer inside them used to diagnose problems. Connecting to them is easy. You will need an odb2 connector. These are small devices (4.5cm by 2..5cm approx). What you will also need is software to connect to the unit. The connection can be made via Bluetooth, wifi , USB and a serial port.
